Emirates SkyCargo has introduced its refreshed livery on one of its most recently delivered freighters, marking a new chapter in the airline’s visual identity.
The Boeing 777 freighter (A6-EFV), which joined the fleet in July 2024, initially arrived without a livery to meet surging global demand. However, this week, the aircraft emerged from Emirates Engineering as the first freighter adorned in the airline’s latest design, a transformation that took eight days to complete.
“The most noticeable update is the UAE flag on the tailfin, a signature of Emirates’ branding since its inception,” the airline stated. “The new design adds a dynamic, flowing effect with 3D artwork. Additionally, the iconic gold lettering in both English and Arabic is now larger and bolder.”
While the Arabic calligraphy on the engines and the striking red branding on the aircraft’s belly remain unchanged, the refreshed look reinforces the airline’s evolving identity.
Emirates first introduced this updated livery in March 2023—only the third design revision since its 1985 launch. The airline plans to gradually repaint all 10 of its Boeing 777 freighters, while its incoming fleet of 13 new 777Fs will arrive fully outfitted with the new branding.
In response to increasing cargo demand, Emirates SkyCargo also expanded its fleet earlier this year with two additional Boeing 747 freighters. The carrier’s dedicated cargo fleet now includes 10 Boeing 777Fs and six Boeing 747Fs, with another 13 777Fs set for delivery over the next two years. Emirates is also exploring future orders for next-generation freighters, including the Boeing 777-8F and Airbus A350-1000F.
With these strategic additions and a fresh new look, Emirates SkyCargo continues to reinforce its position as a leader in global air freight.
